DIY Powder Room Makeover Update

It has been a wonderful Friday!!! Thank you for following my journey as I find myself and what I like doing. I am so happy because I finished my Masters Degree in December and I am finally about to pursue my dream of becoming a Attorney. In the meantime 2015 has truly been a blessing. I purchased my 1st home and I am super excited to document my home decor and improvements. Our family is all about budgeting because we are preparing for law school. The majority of the items in our home will be reupholstered, thrifted and budget friendly. I will take you along with the process...

My 1st project that I have completed is a makeover of my powder room. The room came very builders basic. I 1st started by fixing the puddy job on the walls and sanding down the walls. This made it easy to cover all the imperfections and holes in the wall. I decided to go with a paint from Lowe's called Montpelier Ashlar Gray by Valspar. The light fixtures were purchased at Lowe's. We thought that the powder room should have a more traditional but modern spin. We included hand towel and towel racks from Bed Bath and Beyond. The linen and dispensers came from Bed Bath and Beyond. We utilized a coupon that came in the mail from Bed Bath and Beyond. The rug was found at TJ Maxx and was very budget friendly. The picture on the Left is the After Picture. On the Right is the Builders Basic Before Picture. When I purchased my home it did not have any fixtures and lots of damage to the sheet rock. I was excited to purchase this home so I could personalize the home to my style.
